History
1983
Established in Karachi as Filtrona Pakistan Limited
1984
Commenced commercial production as the first independent cigarette filter manufacturing company making Monoacetate filter rods for cigarettes.
1986
Added paper filters to our product portfolio.
1987
Added non-wrapped acetate filters and dual filter rods to our product portfolio.
1988
Had the honor of becoming the first company in Pakistan to export filters to China.
1999
Converted into a Private Limited Company under the name and style of Filters Pakistan (Pvt.)
2004
Added Activated Charcoal filters to our product portfolio.
2007
Added Roll Your Own (RYO) to our product portfolio.
2009
Added Flavored Filters to our product portfolio.
2015
Expanded our customer base by concentrating on the export markets.
2022
Metro Group of Companies acquired ownership of FILPAK.
